Road to Paradise - Collectors Series #0038
Beneath sweeping green palms, four expressive figures bring warmth and life to a landscape of peach, lavender, and golden light. Their richly colored garments and individual gestures suggest a shared moment of conversation and companionship.
Kathy Yolanda Rice created the original as a truly mixed-media work, combining watercolor and pastel with a real shell and twigs. The figures were formed from colored putty/clay and worked into the paper, giving them a sculptural presence. Gold ink and gemstones added luminous touches to their jewelry.
This meeting of painted landscape, natural materials, and dimensional figures invites a closer look—revealing an artwork as rich in texture as it is in human connection.
Reproduced as an Afrocentric lithograph on premium, heavy cardstock with hot-stamped gold details, the card captures the character of the original in a keepsake to send, give, or frame.
